Join Us in the Jungle Project: Empowering Young Guardians of the Rainforest! 🌿🎨
We're excited to share some amazing news! On Saturday, October 12th, from 10 AM to 2 PM, we’ll be at the block party on the 1700 block of Kilbourne Pl NW in Mount Pleasant, inviting the children of our community to join us in a special art project for the rainforest. Together, we’ll be painting plaques that will be hung on the trees in the Colombian rainforest we’ve helped protect, creating a beautiful symbol of their involvement in preserving this vital ecosystem.
A Creative Way to Make a Difference
This project is more than just an art activity—it’s an opportunity for the young people of Mount Pleasant to connect with nature and play a part in our mission to safeguard the rainforest. By engaging kids in this hands-on experience, we hope to inspire the next generation of environmental stewards, showing them that even small actions can make a big impact when we come together as a community.
How You Can Help
To bring this project to life, we need your support! We’re asking for donations of weather-resistant materials that can be painted, sealed, and sturdy enough to be drilled. We also need string or glue for attaching the plaques to the trees. Your contribution will ensure that the kids have everything they need to make their creative mark on this meaningful project.
Get Involved!
If you have materials to donate or know someone who might, please reach out to us directly. We’d love to arrange a convenient pick-up or drop-off. Your generosity will help us engage young people in this important cause and inspire them to become guardians of the rainforest for years to come.
Let’s Make a Lasting Impact Together
The block party will continue until 9 PM, so if you can’t join us in the morning, there will still be plenty of activities and opportunities to connect with our community. We’re looking forward to seeing familiar faces and making new friends as we come together to celebrate this incredible project.
Thank you for being part of this journey with us! Let’s keep building a brighter, greener future together, one small action at a time. 💚
