URGENT UPDATE: Immediate Support Needed to Protect Colombia’s Rainforest
Dear Supporters,
We’re reaching out with an urgent call to action to help us secure the 8 additional hectares of pristine Colombian rainforest that we’re striving to protect. Due to unexpected delays, we missed a scheduled payment this past Sunday, and the landowner has generously given us until the end of this week to raise the remaining funds. However, we are still $1,400 USD short of the $1,750 USD payment needed to secure the land.
If we are unable to fulfill this commitment by Saturday, the landowner may be forced to sell the land to another buyer, who intends to clear it for coca planting. This would mean the loss of valuable, untouched rainforest—habitat that is irreplaceable for countless plant and animal species and critical for maintaining biodiversity in this fragile region.
